Summary

A black and white photograph of the buildings at 5-7 and, 9 Collins Street. Both buildings are heritage listed and still standing in 2019. The building at 5-7 Collins Street was designed by architect Lloyd Tayler and was constructed in 1884. Grosvenor Chambers at 9 Collins Street was designed by Melbourne architects Terry and Oakden with construction completed in 1888. The building was constructed to house artist studios where influential Australian artists such as Tom Roberts completed well known works.
