Life size bronze standing figure of Captain James Cook set on a bronze pedestal and bluestone base. The statue was originally unveiled in 1974 to launch the Endeavour Hills housing estate where it stood on an elevated black granite base. It was later donated and located within the Cooks' Cottage enclosure in Fitzroy Gardens. It was installed in July 1997.
