Handel’s "Messiah" is particularly important to the RMPS, it has been performed at least once every year since 1853, and this continuous series of performances is considered to be a world record.
Conducted by Sir Bernard Heinze. Soloists: Janet Lassock (soprano), Nance Thomas (contralto), Raymond McDonald (tenor), Alan Light (baritone). This was the 607th and 608th performance by the RMPS.
