Summary

City of Melbourne uniform buttons have changed over time. But each different design features an embossed element of the City’s coat of arms. Many of the surviving buttons are unused; others, presumably cut from discarded uniforms, have fragments of thread and cloth attached, or are dull and dented from wear.
