Summary

A black and white photograph showing Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh arriving at the Shrine of Remembrance so the Queen could dedicate Shrine forecourt and light the Eternal Flame for the first time. This image was taken on 28 February, 1954. The eternal flame, about to be lit, and the unfinished cenotaph are visible on the left hand side.
