Summary

City of Melbourne Markets brown double breasted jacket worn by By-Laws Officer Albert Borlase. Albert commenced working for the City of Melbourne as a By-Laws Officer at the Victoria Market in 1969, joining his father, James Borlase, who was also a By Laws Officer at the Market. Albert worked a total 38 years for the City of Melbourne in various roles, retiring on 1 September 1989. This was the last jacket Albert wore before he retired as an inspector at the Fish Market in Footscray.
