Summary

Long black silk damask robe with gilded metallic braid trim along neckline, front opening, and hem. The robe is lined with what appears to be a synthetic lining. It has wide shoulders and sleeves with floor length sleeve attachments. There are ties at the shoulders to hold the mayoral chain. There are elaborate gilded metallic decoration at the shoulder, sleeves, sleeve attachments, lower side of robe and lower back along slit. There are two hook and eye closures at the top front opening.
