Summary

Gold painted and glittered sceptre matching the crown made for and worn by Frank Thring in 1982. Along with the matching crown and robe, this sceptre was made specifically for Frank Thring by Melbourne Theatre Company staff. Mark Wager was the designer. The MTC art department made the sceptre and the float in which Frank travelled in the parade. Designed by Mark Wager, set and costume designer for the Melbourne Theatre Company. Made by MTC milliner, Marjorie Head.
