Summary

In the late 20th century there was a community of recent arrivals from El Salvador who lived in the Kensington area. This mural was on the wall to the entrance of the Kensington Community Recreation Centre which was demolished in 2021 so the facility could be redeveloped.
The mural was a community participation project involving children connected with the Salvadorian community and led by artist Ben Laycock.
