Summary

Colour postcard showing views of Melbourne city from across Princes Bridge, with St Paul’s Cathedral, Flinders St Station, and the Yarra River visible. Southgate fountain and woman reading in foreground. The Southgate fountain was designed by Robin Boyd in 1957 and constructed in 1960. It was demolished due to the development of the southern bank of the Yarra River and to make way for Hamer Hall.
