Summary

This collaborative stencil artwork is comprised of 8 panels. Created by 9 artists, it was exhibited in the exhibition "Streetworks" at Flinders Lane Gallery in 2004. According to Andrew Gaynor's opening remarks at the exhibition launch, the event was the first time street art was exhibited in a commercial gallery in Melbourne.

"Streetworks marks a key point in the development of stencil art in Melbourne for it is, as far as I’m aware, the first exhibition to be held in a purely commercial gallery – not a club, not an artist-run or supported space, not an empty building in Fitzroy, not an empty Reception centre in Hawthorn – no, an actual commercial gallery in the pointy end of town." - Andrew Gaynor, May 2004
