Summary

This stained-glass window depicts a female figure (Angel of Peace), a tablet in hand, standing on a stylised globe in an arched arboreal frame. Above this pane is a version of the City of Melbourne coat of arms, in which a sheaf of wheat is a newly introduced element. Both pictorial panes and the typographical pane below are surrounded by ornamental elements. The window is located in Melbourne Town Hall, in what is now the Yarra Room, but was the Council chamber until 1910.
