Summary

The ‘Melbourne Spreadsheet Skyline’ is a limited-edition print developed in Microsoft Excel, consisting of the word 'MELBOURNE' repeated in a variety of tones and line-weights across the page to form the buildings of the Melbourne skyline when seen from a distance. This piece depicts a common reality today; that is, the detail of the city (and its buildings) often goes unnoticed until we get close enough to appreciate the detail. The print celebrates a popular view of the Melbourne skyline when viewed from East Melbourne, across Fitzroy Gardens. The work is printed on 300gsm Somerset Museum Rag archival 100% cotton heavyweight paper, using high quality Fine Art Giclée printing with Canon Lucia archival pigment inks.
