Summary

This illuminated point-of-sale advertising sign from a chemist very likely sat on or close to its counter. As the sign says, Panadeine was and remains a powerful pain relief tablet combining Panadol (paracetamol) and codeine. Until recently Panadeine was available over the counter but required a discussion with the pharmacist. It now requires a prescription. Many years have passed since a point-of-sale sign for this product would have been tolerated by health authorities.
