Summary

Framed colour studio portrait of 1985 Moomba Queen, Anne Erickson. Born in 1960, Erickson was a 24-year-old model from Heidelberg when she took the title of Moomba Queen in 1985. This was the second time she had entered the pageant, trying first as a 19-year-old. She was put up at the Hilton for the duration of the festival, and was committed to a hectic schedule of events. She regularly represented Moomba during the year and made two journeys to the US during her reign. On her first trip, while in New Orleans, she opened a koala exhibit and was given the keys to the city. Two months later she was sent to Detroit to appear in their Thanksgiving Day Parade.
