Summary
This postcard captures a bird’s-eye view over Princes Bridge. In the background are the Princes Gate Towers, which opened in 1966. They were partly occupied by the Gas and Fuel Corporation of Victoria, leading to the buildings being commonly known as the ‘Gas and Fuel towers’. In 1997, the towers were demolished to make way for Federation Square.
