Summary

During these pandemic restrictions I have been creating illustrative watercolours that explore Melbourne during this time. This work is recording the new open feel of places that used to be so crowded. Watercolour is a medium I love despite its tricky ways. I think it is perfect to convey light and space and glimpses of my city, its residents, workers and the mood of uncertainty we live with here and now. As well as the sadness of a city interrupted I see resilient people going about life with hope and determination.
